Welcome to MCPT’s second winter game jam!
A game jam is an event where teams create video games and pitch them for the chance to win monetary prizes! Throughout the competition, we’ll be running workshops and other fun activities for you to take inspiration from and enjoy.
The competition will run from December 26th to December 30st.
Register in up to teams of 4 by December 25 11:59 p.m via https://mcpt.ca/gamejam
Requirements
To submit for prizes, you MUST be a student at William Lyon Mackenzie C.I. who has signed up using the above form.
Don’t worry if you don’t have prior game development experience; this event is geared towards beginners. However, workshops will mainly use Processing in code examples.
Please submit your project to this website before 11:59 PM EST, December 30th, 2022. We recommend (but do not require) submitting a pitch (in any format, e.g. paragraph, video, website) along with your project as it allows us to better judge your game. Note that live pitching will not be possible.
If you want to participate in our events but don’t have the time to submit a project, don’t worry! Our workshops and activities will be open to all students at William Lyon Mackenzie C.I.
A big part of the Holiday Game Jam is about creativity, ideas, and learning, so even if you didn't get to create a fully working project in time, that's okay! Just make sure to submit what you have and have fun while coding.
